CervoMed reports Phase 2a nfvPPA data: plasma NfL fell ~3.1 pg/mL over 12 weeks; 24-week data Nov 2026
CervoMed Inc.
- Open-label Phase 2a in nfvPPA (NCT07033481): 25 participants; neflamapimod 40 mg TID (n=19) or 80 mg BID (n=6) for 24 weeks, then 12-week randomized withdrawal.
- Baseline: 18/25 (72%) had elevated NfL; mean NfL 45.7 pg/mL (SD 39.6); 4/25 (16%) elevated GFAP, mean 103.4 pg/mL (SD 43.2).
- Mean plasma NfL fell ~3.1 pg/mL over 12 weeks; in 13 participants with baseline NfL at/above median, mean reduction was ~5.7 pg/mL. GFAP stable.
- Neflamapimod generally well tolerated; one patient with elevated liver enzymes met discontinuation criteria, asymptomatic, resolved after stopping; no new safety signals.
- 24-week biomarker data to be presented at CTAD in November 2026; topline clinical data expected Q1 2027. nfvPPA has no approved US/EU treatments.
